Let’s explore what might fit for you 🌙
Want to know more about how we work?
At Time & Space Psychology, we tailor our approach gently and thoughtfully, with particular care for people who may find traditional therapy models overwhelming or hard to engage with.

Our background in Educational and Developmental Psychology shapes how we work. We consider where you (or your child) are developmentally, the relationships that matter, and the wider systems that impact wellbeing.

The way we work is guided first by safety, engagement, and relationship. Therapeutic frameworks are used flexibly, and only where they support the individual’s needs, preferences, and capacity to engage. Some of the therapeutic frameworks and approaches we may draw from include:

-
Brain-based psychoeducation to explore how the brain and body work together, building emotional intelligence, self-awareness, and practical strategies for regulation;
-
Attachment-based therapy (e.g., Circle of Security) to explore relationships and early experiences;
-
Emotion-focused work to help you feel, name, and safely move through emotions;
-
Parts work (inspired by Internal Family Systems) to support self-understanding and inner harmony;
-
ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) for values-based living and gentle shifts;
-
DBT (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy) tools for emotional regulation and distress tolerance.
-
Play-based and creative therapies, using play, art, imaginative, and interactive tools (including digital and interest-led approaches) to support expression, processing, and growth, tailored to suit children, teens, and adults alike.

Our work is always grounded in being:
🌿 Neurodiversity-affirming
💜 Trauma-informed
🌙 Developmentally sensitive

We move at your pace. We welcome all communication styles, identities, and ways of being.
You don’t need to have the words yet. You don’t need to have it all figured out. You’re already welcome here.

💫 A Practice Built for Accessibility
We offer all therapy and most assessments via Telehealth, not just for convenience, but as part of our values.
Online support helps us stay consistent and attuned, while reducing barriers for our clients, and shaping our work in ways that are accessible, flexible, and sustainable.

Telehealth also means you can shape your therapy space in a way that feels safe and soothing, whether that’s joining us from bed with a stim toy and your dog by your side, or tuning in during a break at school or work. There’s no pressure to mask or “look okay.” You get to show up as you are.

We do offer some in-person options (in Meanjin [Brisbane] or Melbourne [Naarm]) on a case-by-case basis especially for:
-
Young children needing play-based or relational support;
-
School, kindy, or daycare observations;
-
Specific assessment components that benefit from face-to-face support.

🌠Who We Support
We work best with:
-
Neurodivergent individuals, whether formally diagnosed or self-identified;
-
Children, teens, and young adults who may find traditional therapy models hard to engage with, and benefit from flexible, interest-led, or creative approaches;
-
Parents and caregivers looking to strengthen connection and understanding, including those navigating their own nervous systems alongside their child;
-
Families wanting support across systems, such as schools, health teams, and support workers, particularly where coordination and accessibility matter.

When working with children and adolescents, we require consent from the parent(s) or guardian(s) who hold legal decision-making authority. In shared custody situations, we ask families to provide copies of parenting orders so we can ensure services are delivered in line with legal requirements.

We’re especially passionate about psychological assessments and helping people understand their unique mind and we bring both lived experience and professional expertise to this space.

As a small clinic, we’re not able to offer high-level or crisis support. This includes:
-
Ongoing care after hospitalisation;
-
Active suicidality requiring urgent response;
-
Complex substance use.

As well as crisis and high-intensity care, there are other services we don’t provide like court or medico-legal reports, psychiatric prescriptions, or specialist eating disorder treatment. You can read the full list in our Scope of Services statement.

If that’s the kind of support you or your child needs, we’ll do our best to guide you to a service that’s better equipped. You can also visit our Crisis Support page for a list of services and helplines (including some 24/7 options) that can offer immediate help. 💛
