Neurodivergent Exploration
Not sure where to start? You don't have to have it all figured out.
A Neurodivergent Exploration is a gentle, low-pressure way to sit with the questions you've been carrying, about yourself, or about your child, before deciding whether a full assessment is the right next step.
You can explore entirely in writing, in your own time, or add a conversation when you're ready for one.
How It Works
1. Book and pay online: Choose the option that feels right for you and pay securely when you book. A short consent form is part of booking, so there's no intake call. For children and young people, a parent or guardian with legal decision-making authority completes the consent. In shared custody situations, we ask for a copy of the parenting orders.
2. Complete your questionnaires: We send you a set of carefully selected questionnaires and written reflection questions through our secure platform. Complete them at your own pace, from wherever you feel most comfortable. They explore Autism, ADHD, Learning Differences, Masking, Demand-Sensitivity, and also things that can look similar, such as anxiety, so the picture you receive is a considered one. For children, parents and carers usually complete them, and young people can add their own voice where that feels right.
3. Receive your written summary: Within 7 days of completing your questionnaires, one of our psychologists sends you a personalised written summary: what we noticed, what it might mean, whether a full assessment could be a helpful next step, and what that would involve.
4. Talk it through (Exploration, with a Conversation only): Once your summary arrives, we send you a link to book a 60-minute Telehealth session with the psychologist who reviewed your Exploration. We unpack your summary together and answer your questions. You can then decide on next steps, whether that's a formal assessment, further support for your child, or simply having the clarity you needed.
Choose the Way That Feels Right For You

Important to know: A Neurodivergent Exploration is not a diagnostic assessment and does not provide a diagnosis. It is a supportive starting point that can help you decide whether a full assessment is right for you.
This service is a good fit if:
-
You have been wondering whether you or your child might be Autistic, have ADHD, or both;
-
You have noticed patterns that feel like they might be PDA-related;
-
You want to understand more before committing to a full assessment;
-
You are an adult who has long suspected you might be neurodivergent but never had the chance to explore it;
-
You are a parent unsure whether your child needs an assessment, therapy, or something else;
-
Speaking with someone new feels like too big a first step right now, and you would rather begin in writing.
FAQs:
How is this different from a free online test? Free tests give you a score with no clinical interpretation. In a Exploration, a psychologist reviews your questionnaires and written reflections together, considers other explanations that can cause similar experiences, and writes a summary that is personal to you.
How long until I receive my summary? Within 7 days of completing your questionnaires.
Is a Exploration available for children and adolescents? Yes, with questionnaires completed by parents or carers and, where appropriate, by the young person themselves.
Do I have to speak to anyone? Not with the Written Exploration. Booking, questionnaires, and your summary all happen in writing.
Can I claim a Medicare rebate? Written Exploration is not eligible for a Medicare rebate, as it doesn't include a session with a psychologist. The session in Exploration, with a Conversation may be eligible for a rebate under a GP Mental Health Treatment Plan, subject to your remaining sessions for the calendar year. To claim, you'll need your GP referral, which you can upload when you book.
